PKN STAN Continues Its BUMDes Accounting Clinic Program in Trenggalek

The Trenggalek District Secretariat Hall was bustling with activity. People could be seen entering the room in a steady stream. From morning to evening on May 27-28, 2024, at least 30 Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) managers in Trenggalek Regency actively participated in the Accounting Clinic organized by PKN STAN through its three teams. Similar to 2023, PKN STAN once again held an Accounting Clinic in Trenggalek Regency in 2024.

"This is a continuation of the previous program. Those who have already acquired the basics of accounting can directly consult at this clinic. For BUMDes that haven't participated before, it's recommended that they attend the Basic Accounting Class," said Pak Siswanto, Head of the Community Service Team and also one of the speakers at the Accounting Class and Clinic.

On that day, there were several classes for BUMDes managers. The first class was for BUMDes whose managers were new to accounting, and they were provided with basic accounting materials and accounting applications. The second class was organized for members of the BUMDes Forum who already understood financial statements, and they were given advanced materials on BUMDes governance. Simultaneously, an Accounting Clinic was also opened for other BUMDes that had received training in the previous year and wanted to confirm their recording practices.

According to Pak Marsono, a member of the Community Service Team, dividing the classes in this way ensured that participants received material that suited their needs. "By separating them, participants who are new to accounting can focus on learning the basics. BUMDes that already understand accounting can learn other aspects of BUMDes management," he said. "For BUMDes that learned about excel-based financial reporting applications last year, an accounting clinic was opened if they had any difficulties or doubts in their recording," added Pak Suprayitno (a member of the Community Service Team).

This activity was a manifestation of the cooperation between Trenggalek Regency DPMD and the State Polytechnic of Finance and Taxation STAN, which has been established for the past three years. The event was opened by the Head of Village Arrangement and Cooperation, Trenggalek District DPMD, Mrs. Esty Ayu Nusworini. Similarly, at the end of the event the following day, Mrs. Esty Ayu Nusworini also delivered the closing remarks.

On the third day, the Community Service Team visited BUMDes Setia Usaha Tawing for mentoring. This BUMDes had been selected by the DPMD to be mentored online so that it could produce financial statements according to standards.

Trengalek Regency DPMD, which has partnered with PKN STAN since 2022, expressed its appreciation for the involvement of the State Polytechnic of Finance and Taxation STAN in increasing the literacy of BUMDes managers regarding accounting and financial reporting. It is hoped that cooperation in the following year will continue to increase the understanding of other BUMDes managers who have not had the opportunity to receive training.
